This work is composed of oil and acrylic paint on canvas or wood with paper. Maps from my travels provide inspiration for the background upon which I layer images from my own photos, magazines, and newspapers. My goal is not a strict representation, but a picture that triggers an association or memory such as a foreign street, a seashore, a neighborhood, or a new cultural awareness.
